PUCA-BIO: INNOVATION OF PROBIOTICS ORGANIC LIQUID FERTILIZER AS AN ALTERNATIVE SAFE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FERTILIZER

Fertilizer demand increases from year to year by the percentage of chemical fertilizer demand is much higher than the demand for organic fertilizer. Whereas the use of chemical fertilizers can have a devastating impact on agricultural sustainability. However, farmers give priority to the use of chemical fertilizers because of their agricultural products more quickly visible than the use of organic fertilizers. Whereas, organic fertilizers can increasing the content of NPK (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) and soil nutrient holding capacity. The solution offered to reduce the farmers' dependence on chemical fertilizers that use Puca-BIO on agricultural land. Puca-BIO is a liquid organic fertilizer which is a combination of compost and manure as a utilization of abundant agricultural and livestock waste in Indonesia with substituents probiotic bacteria to maximize organic fertilizer nutrients in order to more quickly absorbed by the plant to produce the quantity and quality of products agriculture significantly and faster than chemical fertilizers. Quantitative testing conducted by an analysis of the content of Puca-BIO in the laboratory and qualitative analysis of the characteristics of Puca-BIO. Puca-BIO has a nitrogen content of 5.61%; Phosphorus 89.72%; 40.23% potassium and other elements with a shelf life of 1-2 years in the conditions of probiotic bacteria are still active and can deliver maximum results when used. Puca-BIO excellence among which does not leave residues on agricultural land, can improve soil conditions damaged by the carrier residual nitrogen chemical fertilizers, more easily absorbed by the roots as in liquid form. The expected output from the application of Puca-BIO is the shift of farmers users of chemical fertilizer in Puca-BIO organic fertilizer which is a safe and environmentally friendly that support the government's Go Organic program in 2015. In addition to increasing the quality of soil and agricultural land will have an impact on improving the quality of and quantity of agricultural products that can compete with imported agricultural products.
