Terhadap Penderita Diabetes Melitus Tipe Dua

Indonesia is one of country with the fourth highest number of diabetics in
the world. WHO estimates that diabetes mellitus in Indonesia increased up to
three times and in 2030 reached 21.3 million people. Diabetes characterized by
high levels of sugar in the blood and potentially lead to chronic
complications. Currently, the number of side effects and the insulin resistance
of patients is very high. So we need an alternative treatment, one of them by
utilizing Maja fruit leaves (Aegle
Marmelos) which the productivity abundant in Indonesia and has a flavonoid
content of 8248 ± 0029 mg/ kg as an antioxidant free radical catcher to reduce
the effects of resistance and regulate sugar levels to protect β-cells
pancreas. The application is to drink supplements of fruits magazine leaf
flavonoid extract as a liquid supplement for people suffer from type 2 diabetes
mellitus and for the people who could potentially suffer from type 2 diabetes
mellitus. Advantages of drink supplements that do not cause side effects and also
take advantage of the local Indonesian commodities as drugs. Related parties in
these implementations is BPOM as a certification body, the Ministry of Health
as the highest policy providers in the field of medicine in Indonesia, and
industry to work together to produce the product. Implemented a strategic move
that product publicity, cooperation (MOU) with the relevant parties, doing
production, certify, and dissemination and implementation of the community.
